![]() Former Clemson University standout Kimberly Ruck has joined the Greenville Track Club-ELITE post-collegiate program, sponsored by ASICS. A two-time ACC champion (indoor 5,000 and outdoor 10,000) Kimberly is the initial female to be selected for the GTC-ELITE. "We've watched Kim's outstanding running performances over the past years and believe that she has the potential to develop even more in her quest to qualify for the 2016 US Olympic Trials," commented Coach Laura Caldwell. "She has excellent past performances at both 5,000 (16:01) and 10,000 (33:16) and we think she can improve at not only those distances, but at others as well." A former soccer player during her high school days, the Greer, SC native, began her running career at Clemson and soon became one of the Tiger's top distance stars. She was a multiple NCAA qualifier and earned numerous All-ACC honors.
