Emily Forner, a native Pennsylvanian, graduated from Allegheny College in May of 2019 with a degree in Global Health Studies. Her athletic career at Allegheny was highlighted by wining the NCAA DIII national title at 3,000 meters during the 2019 Indoor Championships. She had previously earned All American honors with her 9th place finish at the 2018 NCAA DIII National Cross Country Championships. Emily has personal bests of 9:39.56 for 3,000m and 16:33.01 for 5,000m.
Emily joined the program during the COVID-19 pandemic and, coupled with some health issues, did not participate in many competitions. However she was able to win Simpsonville's Sunrise 8K in June of 2021. She followed that with a victory in Greenville's United Community Bank 43rd Reedy River Run 10K, including the RRCA South Carolina 10K championship, in early September.
