asics Greenville Track Club-ELITE - a post-collegiate, Olympic development program
ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE's Cristina McKnight ran 28:08 to win the 40th Sunrise 8K in Simpsonville, SC. She finished 16 seconds ahead of her training partner, OG Gardner (28:24), and 9th overall in the iconic race that starts exactly at sunrise (6:16 am) and runs through the streets of Simpsonville. McKnight's victory earned her the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) South Carolina State 8K Championship, which was conducted with this event.
Cristina recently relocated from Cincinnati, OH to Greenville, SC to join the post-collegiate, Olympic-development program. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and is employed by General Electric. Her next scheduled competition will be the 50th running of the Peachtree Road Race 10K in Atlanta on July 4th.
GTC-ELITE was established in 2012. The program produced four qualifiers for the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Marathon in Los Angeles and one qualifier for the 2019 Pam American Games Marathon in. Lima, Peru.
