![]() ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE's Avery Martin ran a personal best of 4:04.42 to place third in the Atlanta Track Club's Wingfoot Elite Mile on Tuesday evening. On a warm evening at the Emory University track complex, Martin ran in the pack behind the early pacesetters and settled into fourth position by 1,000 meters. He passed fellow Greenvillian James Quattlebaum over the final 100 meters to take third. Quattlebaum, who led after the pacers retired, ran 4:05.36. The Atlanta Track Club's Dylan Capwell won in 4:03.85 with his ATC teammate Edward Kemboi second at 4:04.40. GTC-ELITE was established in 2012. The program produced four qualifiers for the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Marathon in Los Angeles and one qualifier for the 2019 Pam American Games Marathon in. Lima, Peru.
