GTC-ELITE Go 2-3-4 at Benson Twlight 5K

GTC-ELITE athletes Chass Armstrong, Chris Caldwell and Josh Cashman placed second through fourth at the 7th annual Benson Twilight 5K road race in Greer, SC. 

After a cautious first 2 kilometer pace on a hot (85 degree)  Saturday afternoon Kenyan Gilbert Kemboi surged and pulled away from the three GTC-ELITE teammates to earn the first place prize money with a somewhat slow time of 15:09 (4:53 per mile pace). Armstrong finished at 15:28 to earn the second place cash award, while Caldwell outkicked his teammate Cashman for the final monetary award. 

The GTC-ELITE men's next scheduled competition will be an 8-kilometer cross country race at the Blue Ridge Open, in the high country of Boone, NC.
