Freudenthal Sets Course Record in Winning Greenville News Run Downtown 5K

GTC-ELITE athlete Adam Freudenthal broke new teammate Wallace Campbell's course record (14:51) as he covered the 5K route in downtown Greenville in 14:41.2 on a crisp, cool, sunny morning.

With Campbell, who didn't run while rehabbing a slight injury, cheering him on, Freudenthal covered the first mile in 4:48 and then picked up the pace to win by 51 seconds over Clemson's Marty Mahoney. Freudenthal and Campbell now own the four fastest times in the race's long history.
