In what was planned as a tune-up for next week's Music City Distance Carnival, DiMercurio covered the distance in 4:28.68, almost exactly a 16-second improvement from the 4:44.63 time she ran in college. She was followed closely by her teammate Kimberly Ruck with a time of 4:32.74. Both women are scheduled to compete in the Invitational Women's 5,000 next week in Nashville.
