asics Greenville Track Club-ELITE - a post-collegiate, Olympic-development program
ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE is excited to announce that recent Florida State University graduate Chelsi Woodruff will be joining the post-collegiate, Olympic Development group in Greenville, SC. The Winter Park, FL native recently earned All Atlantic Coast Conference honors after placing third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2015 ACC championships.
"We are pleased that Chelsi has decided to continue her running career and pursue her dreams as a part of our developing group of post-collegiate athletes," stated director Mike Caldwell. "While she focused on the steeplechase in college, our plan will definitely include the flat 1500 and 5000 meter events, which will increase her speed and strength."
Woodruff competed on the Seminoles nationally ranked cross country team, which placed 12th at the 2014 NCAA DI championships. She also earned All Region honors at the NCAA South championships. On the track, she was a two-time qualifer for the NCAA East Region Preliminary meet in the steeplechase in 2014 & '15.
Academically, Chelsi majored in Family and Child Science at FSU and is also interested in starting a career in the areas of sports science and conditioning.
