asics Greenville Track Club-ELITE - a post-collegiate, Olympic-development program
Josh Cashman has joined the GTC-ELITE training group as he pursues his running dreams and future improvements. The resident of Simpsonville, SC and one of the top local runners has been at or near the front of the pack in Greenville area races since graduating from High Point University in 2010.
Although his best 5K of 14:56 is just seconds off the "B" qualifying standard for the GTC-ELITE team, he should benefit from joining the group in training and achieve a qualifying performance in the near future.
"Josh was more of a middle-distance athlete in college and has only recently begun training more like a distance runner," stated GTC-ELITE coach Mike Caldwell. "He has improved quite a bit under the tutelage of his previous coach Jeff Milliman, but needs the benefit of training with some of our GTC-ELITE group to see if he can take it to the next level. We like his attitude and work ethic and believe he will not only continue to improve in the future, but also assist our runners as they train toward their goals. There is power in training with a group."
Josh will continue his work at the Greenville Running Company as he embarks on this newest chapter in his running career.
