ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE's Annie Rodenfels ran 26:53 to place fifth among women at the VCU Health Richmond Marathon's Allianz Partners 8K in Virginia's capitol city on Saturday morning. It was her debut attempt at the distance and she earned $100 for her placing and also broke a long-standing ASICS GTC-ELITE program record. The previous program best was 27:11 by Kimberly Ruck in 2014. Teammate Ryan Bugler ran a personal best of 23:56 to place seventh overall, which was a 24 second improvement over his previous best at this distance. Avery Martin placed 12th with a time of 24:29, which was only nine seconds off his personal best. GTC-ELITE was established in 2012. The program produced four qualifiers for the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Marathon in Los Angeles and one qualifier/participant for the 2019 Pam American Games Marathon in. Lima, Peru.
