![]() ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE would like to welcome Carolyn Watson to the Greenville, SC, post-collegiate Olympic development program. The 2013 graduate of Cedarville University has relocated to Greenville from her former residence in Ohio to pursue her running dreams. Watson is a native of Oakwood, OH, majored in Psychology in college and is currently working on a post-graduate degree. After her collegiate career, she also was an assistant coach at Cedarville and is married to former Cedarville distance runner Clay Watson. During the last year she made a significant improvement at 1500 meters post-collegiately under the guidance of Coach David Dobson, who is also the highly successful coach at Centerville High School in Ohio. "Part of our mission at ASICS GTC-ELITE is to provide opportunities to post-collegiate athletes that we believe we can assist to continue their athletic development," explained director/coach Mike Caldwell. "Although Carolyn ran competitively at Cedarville, her rapid development after graduation under the guidance of Coach Dobson gave us a glimpse of her potential at 1500 meters. We would like to continue that direction and also build her strength and aerobic development to also compete from 800 through 5000 meters." GTC-ELITE is sponsored by ASICS, the 44-year old Greenville Track Club, Performance Therapy, Greenville Health System's North Greenville Hospital, ScanSource, Soleus Running Watches, Boston Bill Sunglasses, Roll Recovery, The TD Bank Foundation, The Kroc Center, Carolina Spine and Rehab, The ATI Running Academy, ElliptiGO, the Bare Minimum Track Club and generous individual contributors.
