One of our "traditional" workouts is our hill session at Lake Summit near Tuxedo, North Carolina. We have been doing this workout since 2013 and it is always one of our most difficult. We usually have a "target" for the number of sets and our male athletes must complete a minimum of eight sets to be considered for our "King of the Mountain" honorary awards. Each set consists of an 800-meter uphill climb, followed by a faster 200-meter segment during the recovery run back down the hill (1000m of work with 600m of recovery running).
