![]() ASICS Greenville Track Club-ELITE's Austin Steagall ran to a second place finish in the 41st TD Bank Reedy River Run 10K. Under almost perfect running conditions, Steagall attempted to defend his title from 2017 over the undulating route through beautiful downtown Greenville. However, 2016 Olympian from Zimbabwe Pardon Ndhlovu pulled away from Steagall and Greenville's Ricky Flynn to take the victory in a time of 30:43. Steagall's time of 30:51 earned him $1000 as the first USA citizen and another $200 as first South Carolinian. Flynn, who relocated to Greenville to run for ASICS GTC-ELITE in 2013 and is now focusing on triathlon, earned $700 as second USA citizen and another $100 as second male from South Carolina with his time of 30:53. GTC-ELITE was established in 2012 and produced four qualifiers for the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Marathon in Los Angeles. The post-collegiate, Olympic development program is sponsored by ASICS, the 45-year-old Greenville Track Club, Greenville Health System, ScanSource, Joy Real Estate, the Bare Minimum Track Club, generous individual contributors and partnerships with Performance Therapy, Carolina Spine and Rehab, Boston Bill Sunglasses, Roll Recovery products, FinalSurge (on-line training log), The ATI Running Academy, ElliptiGO, NormaTec Recovery Boots, Cocoa Elite recovery products and Synergy Performance (mental performance).
